UML Nominates 13 Central Committee Members

Nepal’s CPN-UML has nominated 13 members to its Central Committee following a Standing Committee meeting held at the party’s central office in Chyasal on Saturday.
The nominees include six women, six men and one person who joined the party from another political party.
The meeting also decided to focus on strengthening the party organisation and mobilising supporters ahead of the upcoming local-level elections.
According to the decisions, ward-level party conventions will be held on December 12, followed by municipal-level conventions on December 19.
The party will organise provincial-level gatherings after the ward and municipal conventions, along with a national gathering in the first week of November.
CPN-UML Deputy General Secretary Lekh Raj Bhatta said there was no dispute between party Chair KP Sharma Oli and General Secretary Shankar Pokharel, adding that all decisions were taken unanimously.
