Nepal’s Para-Athletes Head to Japan for Fifth Asian Para Games

Nepal’s national para-athletes are heading to Japan to compete in the fifth Asian Para Games in Aichi-Nagoya.

Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal has extended his best wishes to the team, sharing a photograph with the athletes ahead of their departure.

Nepal is sending 19 athletes to compete in eight sports: taekwondo, athletics, badminton, table tennis, powerlifting, swimming, judo and wheelchair tennis.

The Asian Para Games bring together athletes with disabilities from across Asia to compete in multiple sporting disciplines.

The Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games will bring para-athletes from across Asia together for seven days of competition, from October 18 to 24
