Electricity Generators Distributed in Bhotekoshi Flood-hit Areas

Eleven generators have been distributed here as emergency support to various communities, schools, and local levels affected by the Bhotekoshi flood.

Residents of areas like Jivjive, Betang, Swaryu, Lokil, Ramche, Betrawati, Bhorle, Haku, and Mathillo Jivjive have benefited from this as the electricity and communication services in these places disrupted due to the flood have now been restored with the help of the generators.

The generators were provided by Rasuwa-Nuwakot Tourism Society with financial support from ‘Setop Australia’. With power restored with the help of generators, locals of these settlements can now charge their mobile phones, stay in touch, and operate emergency services.

Similarly, generators have been handed over to the emergency shelters in Kalika Rural Municipality and Uttargaya Rural Municipality to organize emergency rescue, relief, rehabilitation, and response. Generators have also been provided to the flood-displaced families who are taking shelter by setting up tents in the forest area near Betrawati. (RSS)
