Sagarmatha Pre-Dialogue sets stage for May 16 International Meetup

The government has organized the Sagarmatha Pre-Dialogue in preparation for the Sagarmatha Dialogue to be organized from May 16-18.
In the pre-Dialogue organized in Kathmandu, diplomats, climate experts, researchers, and Everest climbers from various fields shared their views on the topics to be raised in the Sagarmatha Dialogue.
They shared their views on how the increase in temperature due to climate change is melting the mountains and the impact it has on the health and livelihood of people living in the Himalayan region.
The first edition of the Sagarmatha Dialogue, which Nepal plans to organize every 2 and a half years, is scheduled to be held in mid-May.
Climate change and the issue of the mountains have been made the main issue in the conference this time.
This international conference is bringing together world leaders, analysts, and investors to discuss and debate.
In addition, the participants of the pre-Dialogue suggested that Nepal should present itself as a leader at the conference on climate justice.
Emphasis has been placed on reducing the use of fossil fuels and increasing the use of renewable energy.
