Rasuwa Floods: More Than 5,200 Still Missing

More than 5,200 people remain missing following the devastating Bhote Koshi floods in Nepal, as authorities continue rescue and relief operations.

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, 5,285 people remain unaccounted for, while 1,451 bodies have been recovered.

Two others have died while undergoing treatment.

Authorities say 13,795 people have been rescued so far. Of those, 1,113 are taking shelter in 21 temporary holding centres across three districts: 187 in Nuwakot, 805 in Rasuwa and 121 in Dhading.

Officials have collected DNA samples from 2,060 people as part of ongoing efforts to identify victims.

Seven injured people remain under medical treatment, while 10,988 people have received healthcare services through Nepal’s security agencies. (RSS)
