Nepal Drafts One-Stop Investment Service Procedure
Nepal’s Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers is drafting a procedure to streamline investment services through a one-stop service centre, as part of its latest administrative reform efforts.
At a regular press briefing on Friday, OPMCM spokesperson and Joint Secretary Hemraj Aryal said the draft of the National Express Investment System (Operation and Management) Procedure, 2083, was being prepared to provide investors with official information on procedures, approvals, required documents, fees, timelines and responsible government agencies through a single centre.
Aryal also said decisions made by a committee formed to facilitate the implementation of an agreement between the federal government and representatives of the Gen-Z movement on December 10, 2025, had been forwarded to the relevant ministries for implementation.
The reported initiatives include digitising investment services, improving coordination among federal, provincial and local governments, modernising public-sector information technology infrastructure, strengthening administrative efficiency, promoting sanitation and advancing anti-corruption measures.
