Rasuwa Floods: PM Shah Traveling by Road to Bidur to Inspect the Damage

Prime Minister Balendra Shah has left by road early this morning to inspect the damaged caused by the devastating floods in Rasuwa Wednesday.

According to Prime Minister’s press secretariat the Prime Minister will make on-site inspection of flood-affected areas in Bidur of Nuwakot.

Accompanying him is Minister for Infrastructure Development Sunil Lamsal.

At 9:30 AM, PM Shah left by road toward Bidur, one of the main flood-affected areas.

Following yesterday’s flood in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa, which caused damage to riverbank settlements, Prime Minister Shah has remained continuously active in making rescue and relief operations more effective.

Immediately after the flood, he convened high-level meetings, issued necessary directives to subordinate agencies, and has been facilitating coordination.

Although many areas have been damaged, due to time constraints, the Prime Minister will primarily inspect Bidur and nearby affected settlements in Nuwakot today.

During the visit, the Prime Minister and the Infrastructure Minister’s team will directly assess the physical damage caused by the flood and hold discussions with local administration, security agencies, and representatives about relief distribution, rehabilitation, and restoration of disrupted infrastructure.

They also plan to issue directives to ensure rapid relief delivery and accelerate infrastructure reconstruction across all affected areas.
