Rain Forces Abandonment of Lumbini Lions-Chitwan Rhinos NPL Match

A Nepal Premier League (NPL) match between Lumbini Lions and Chitwan Rhinos scheduled for Saturday has been abandoned due to persistent rainfall, with both teams sharing one point each.

The match was called off after continuous rain left the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur unfit for play, according to Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN).

Rainfall since Thursday night has left the ground waterlogged, preventing the scheduled fixture from taking place.

A second match is scheduled for Saturday between Biratnagar Kings and Sudurpaschim Royals, with the start time set for 5 pm local time. However, continued rainfall could also affect the fixture.
