PM Shah Instructs for Expansion of Well-equipped Burn Treatment Centre
Prime Minister Balendra Shah has instructed to immediately forward the plan for the establishment of a well-equipped burn treatment centre in all seven provinces.
During the meeting with vice chancellors of various health science institutes convened at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers today, Prime Minister Shah issued directives to forward necessary plan to upgrade burn wards in major government hospitals.
He suggested for necessary cooperation between the federation, provinces and concerned health institutes to ensure arrangement for quality treatment service to burn patients with critical injuries on time.
Stating that quality, effective and citizen-friendly health services is on top priority of the government, the Prime Minister drew attention of the bodies concerned towards cleanliness, improvement in service delivery, use of ‘digital’ technology and effective implementation of good governance in hospitals.
PM Shah also asked the vice-chancellors for effective implementation of the arrangement of providing at least 10 per cent services of the OPD service of private hospitals in a subsidized rate in order to expand health services for the access of citizens from poor financial background and who are helpless.
On the occasion, the vice chancellors suggested for increasing quality of education, improvement in health service delivery, cleanliness at hospitals, expansion of specialized health services, management of skilled health human resources, research promotion and infrastructure development.
They briefed Prime Minister Shah about ‘digital’ transformation in health services, effective implementation of hospital information management system and effect on institutional development due encroachment of land in the name of some institutes.
