In’t Ayush Conclave, Held in Ktm to Promote Wellness, Concludes

The International Ayush Conclave concluded today in Kathmandu with a commitment to promote wellness, healthcare and traditional medicine systems.

In the conclave organized by the Council for Integrative Vaidhya Innovation and Collaboration (CIVC) in association with the Nepal Chamber of Commerce, participants highlighted the need for policy support and facilitation to advance wellness and Ayurvedic healthcare services.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the three-day event, Kamlesh Kumar Agrawal, President of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the need to establish Nepal as an international destination for wellness, health and medical tourism.

Agrawal reminded that the government of Nepal has decided to observe the next ten years as the ‘Decade of Wellness.’ “This is a commendable initiative,” he remarked.

He expressed his confidence that Nepal’s unique resources, including medicinal herbs, yoga, meditation and traditional healing practices, would open new opportunities for health and wellness tourism.

Furthermore, he noted that collaboration between traditional healthcare systems and modern science would lay the basis for future healthcare services.

He observed that technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), digital health, telemedicine, bio-technology and data analytics are creating new opportunities for innovation and efficiency in the healthcare sector.

The conclave brought together around 200 delegates, especially practitioners from Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy from over 10 countries including Nepal, India, Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Addressing the closing ceremony, Conclave Chair Rastra Bhusan Chakubaji expressed his optimism that the International AYUSH Conclave would contribute to the development and promotion of Ayurveda, yoga and other traditional wellness systems.

He informed that the previous editions of the conclave have been held in Indian cities such as Agra, Goa and Jaipur. It is the first time the event took place in Nepal. (RSS)
