HoR Members Draw Government’s Attention to Various Contemporary Issues

In a meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) today, the lower house members drew the government’s attention to various contemporary issues including the short-supplies of cooking gas, and chemical fertilizer, and the need for monsoon-related disasters and menace from wildlife.

Airing views during a zero hour, Buddha Ratna Maharjan demanded the government ensure healthcare facilities, roadway access, seeds and chemical fertilizers to the citizens promptly.
Basana Thapa was of the view that increasing price hike has posed challenges to citizens to manage two square meals.

Balawati Sharma demanded an end to situations forcing Nepali foreign migrants falling prey to fraud and life-threatening situations.

Bina Gurung, Buddhi Prasad Pant, Basumaya Tamang, Bharat Kumar Swar, Bharat Prasad Parajuli, Bharat Bahadur Khadka, Bheem Kumar Budha Magar, Madan Krishna Shrestha, Madhav Bahadur Thapa, Manamaya Bishwakarma, Manish Khanal, Mohanlal Acharya, Yagya Bahadur Bogati, and Ranju Neupane were among those lawmakers drawing the government’s attention to contemporary issues.

Likewise, Rachana Khatiwada, Rabin Mahato, Rajani Shrestha, Ratna Kumari Thapa, Ramesh Kumar Malla, Ramesh Kumar Sapkota, Ramesh Prasai, Rabindra Patel, Raj Kishor Mahato, Mahato, Rajan Gautam, Rajiv Khatri, Rajesh Kumar Chaudhary, Radhika Ramtel, Dr Ram Lama, Ringala Yadav, Reena Upreti, Rukesh Ranjit, Rukmini Devi Koirala, Rekha Kumari Yadav and Renuka Kaucha also spoke during the zero hour session.

The opposition lawmakers put an end to their protest from today, demanding the Prime Minister’s respond in the House after Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal on Monday issued ruling directing the Prime Minister for replying the lawmakers’ concerns. (RSS)
