At Least 17 Killed in Jeep Accident in Rolpa’s Thawang

At least 17 people have died in a jeep accident in Ward No. 1 of Thawang Rural Municipality in Rolpa.

The jeep was on the way to Jaljala Fair in the district.

One person has been reported to be injured.

The jeep was carrying passengers traveling from Rukum to attend a fair in Jaljala when the accident occurred.

According to Police Inspector Ram Chandra Bagale from the Area Police Office, Thawang, the jeep fell approximately 800 meters off the road.

He shared this information with Nepal Television Online.

Rescue operations are still ongoing. However, due to rainfall, the rescue efforts have been facing difficulties.
