The state-owned Dairy Development Corporation (DDC) has been paying dairy farmers Rs 10 million daily, based on the reforms action plan enforced by Minister for Agriculture, Forest and Environment Geeta Chaudhary
Out of the outstanding liabilities of about Rs 580 million for the last four months, Rs 120 million has been paid so far. Preparations are underway to pay the dues for one month by end of June. The DDC is currently doing a daily transaction of about Rs 10 million, which is being paid to farmers. The remaining amount of about Rs 460 million will be paid in two months.
