Nepal Seeks Public Suggestion on Constitution Amendment

The Secretariat of the Constitution Amendment Discussion Paper Task Force has invited suggestions and feedback from the general public.

The task force has called for written recommendations within seven days with the aim of ensuring the participation of all Nepali citizens in the constitutional amendment process.

Suggestions can be sent via email to sambidhansansodhan@gmail.com and sambidhansansodhan@opmcm.gov.np.

The task force has also provided a WhatsApp number, 9856029947 for submitting feedback.

The task force is coordinated by Asim Shah, political advisor to Prime Minister Balendra Shah.

It has already held discussions and collected written suggestions from various political parties.

According to the task force, consultations have also been conducted with constitutional experts, legal professionals, senior advocates, former bureaucrats, former diplomats, media personnel and political figures to gather recommendations.

Member Secretary Leeladhar Subedi said that the task force is continuing discussions and collecting suggestions from experts and stakeholders from different sectors in preparation for the constitution amendment discussion paper.
