Trump Rejects Iran’s Proposal to End War

US President Donald Trump has dismissed Iran’s response to US proposals aimed at ending the ongoing conflict, calling it “totally unacceptable.”
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said he had reviewed the response sent by Iran’s representatives and expressed strong dissatisfaction with its contents.
According to Iran’s semi-official Tasnim News Agency, Tehran’s proposal was delivered through Pakistan, which has been acting as a mediator between the two sides.
The proposal reportedly called for an immediate end to the war on all fronts, a halt to the US naval blockade and guarantees against further attacks on Iran.
A ceasefire intended to support diplomatic talks between Iran, the US and Israel has largely held in recent weeks, despite occasional exchanges of fire.
Earlier this week, Trump said the conflict would be “over quickly,” signaling optimism about a possible resolution.
However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium must be dismantled before the war can truly end.
“There are still enrichment sites that have to be dismantled,” Netanyahu said during an interview with CBS’s 60 Minutes.
Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran would never surrender under pressure, while indicating that dialogue should not be interpreted as weakness.
“We will never bow our heads before the enemy, and if talk of dialogue or negotiation arises, it does not mean surrender or retreat,” Pezeshkian said on Sunday.
The latest exchange highlights continuing tensions despite ongoing diplomatic efforts to end the conflict.
