FMTCL Runs Sale Outlet in Singha Durbar Premises

The Food Management and Trading Company Limited (FMTCL) has operated food sale outlet in Singha Durbar premises from today.
Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Gauri Kumari, inaugurated the outlet brought into operation in the context of seventh anniversary of the company.
Civil service employees working in Singha Durbar and service seekers could easily get daily essential goods from the sale outlet, according to the company.
Talking to media persons after the inauguration of the outlet, Minister Kumari asserted that the government is effortful to provide quality food items to consumers at a discount.
Department Manager of the Company, Ghana Shyam Aryal told RSS that priority has been given to Nepali products in the sale outlet along with service expansion.
He mentioned, “This is not only the inauguration of a sales outlet. It is the practical commencement of company’s commitment of giving priority to Nepali products, connecting domestic farmers and industries and providing quality food items to consumers.”
The outlet has now 142 types of food and other items. The company has run fair price shops in 193 places of 44 districts from today. (RSS)
