Nepal Celebrates Phulpati the Seventh Day of Dashain
A traditional Phulpati celebration has been held at Tundikhel in Kathmandu as part of the ongoing Bada Dashain festival.
The ceremony took place at Sainik Manch, Tundikhel, in the presence of President Ram Chandra Paudel, Vice-President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Balendra Shah, members of the Council of Ministers and other distinguished guests.
The Nepal Army performed a ceremonial parade and presented a guard of honour as part of the Phulpati Badhai ceremony, marking an important occasion in Nepal’s biggest Hindu festival.
Phulpati, observed on the seventh day of Bada Dashain, involves the ceremonial arrival and worship of sacred offerings, symbolising the continuation of religious traditions and cultural practices associated with the festival.
