Three Chinese Nationals Arrested with Around 20 Kgs of Gold in Kathmandu

Police in Nepal have arrested three Chinese nationals and seized around 20 kilograms of gold during an overnight operation in Budhanilkantha, in the northern part of Kathmandu.
According to senior police sources, the arrests were made by a team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office following a tip-off.
Police are investigating where the gold originated, who owns it and whether other individuals or groups are involved in its transportation and trade.
The identities and further details of the three Chinese nationals have not yet been made public.
The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office has launched a further investigation into the case, focusing on the source of the gold, how it entered Nepal and the possible involvement of others in the operation.
