Fire Destroys Plastic Pellet Factory in Bhaktapur

A fire broke out this morning at a factory producing plastic beads based in Kapalichok in Jagati, Suryabinayak Municipality-8. The inferno significantly damaged the ‘BK Suppliers,’ owned by Nabaraj Bhatta, it is said.

It was brought under control within around two hours with the interventions of fire fighters from the Juddha Barun Yantra (Fire Brigade) Bhaktapur Office and locals.

According to Fire Brigade Office Chief Bijay Dhaubhadel, the machinery and raw plastic materials inside the factory were destroyed in the fire, which also, damaged a house belonging to Dinesh Machamasi, adjacent to the factory. According to a police preliminary investigation, the total loss exceeds Rs 4 million.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Meanwhile, Bagmati Province Chief Minister Kiran Thapa Magar promptly inspected the site of fire after the incident was reported. (RSS)
