Israel Provides Second Round of Emergency Aid to Flood-Hit Communities in Nepal

The Embassy of Israel in Nepal has continued its emergency humanitarian assistance to communities affected by floods in Ward No. 2, Trishuli, Bidur Municipality, Nuwakot.

Janan Bebar, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Israel in Nepal, visited the affected area and handed over emergency go-bags and boxes containing essential supplies for individuals and families affected by the floods.

Bebar said the assistance was aimed at supporting communities as they recover from the impact of the floods.

“We may not be able to remove all the pain but we can stand together, support one another and make sure that no one feels alone,” she said.

The assistance marks the second phase of the embassy’s relief response, following its initial support to communities affected by the floods in Ward No. 6, Baireni, Galchhi Rural Municipality, Dhading.

The embassy said it continues to coordinate with relevant Nepali authorities to understand the situation and assess the evolving needs of affected communities.

It said it would continue to respond to identified needs as relief and recovery efforts progress.

The Embassy of Israel also expressed solidarity with the affected communities and appreciation for Nepali authorities, first responders, local communities and volunteers involved in assisting those affected by the floods.
