National Assembly Session Today, Five Parliamentary Committees Meeting

The meeting of the National Assembly (NA) is taking place at 1:15 this afternoon.

According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Home Minister Sudan Gurung is scheduled to respond to the questions related to the Home Ministry.

Likewise, Minister for Women, Children, Gender and Sexual Minorities and Social Security Sita Badi is also expected to answer the questions of lawmakers on the ministry.

As per today’s parliamentary business, NA Member Kamala Panta is scheduled to draw attention of the Home Minister on government’s preparedness for the monsoon-induced disaster management.

During the meeting, Minister for Agriculture, Forest and Environment Gita Chaudhary is expected to table the Infectious Animal Diseases (Control) Bill 2083.

Meanwhile, five parliamentary committees have summoned their meetings today.

The meetings of the Finance Committee; Women and Social Affairs Committee; State Affairs and Good Governance Committee; Education, Health and Information Technology Committee, and Monitoring and Evaluation of the Implementation of the Directive Principles, Policies and Obligations of the state Committee are taking place later today.
