Meetings of HoR Rescheduled for Wednesday

Both houses of the federal parliament, that were scheduled to hold their meetings today, have been deferred.

In the House of Representatives meeting scheduled at 1:00pm, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Sobita Gautam, was to present the ‘Nepal Law Commission (first amendment) Bill, 2083’.

She was scheduled to table a proposal, seeking consideration on ‘Reconciliation (second amendment) Bill, 2083’.

The Law Minister also had the schedule to table an ‘Agreement under UN Convention on the Law of the Sea on Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity of Areas beyond National Jurisdiction’.

Minister for Youths, Labour and Employment, Ramji Yadav, was to present a proposal to send the ‘Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Bill, 2083’ to the related committee for a clause-wise discussion.

Moreover, the meeting of the National Assembly slated for 10:15am, has also been deferred.

Prime Minister Balendra Shah was scheduled to table a proposal to send a ‘Bill (2082) on Retrieving then Provisions of Nepal Special Service Act, 2042’ along with the message received from HoR to the Legislative Management Committee for a thorough discussion.

The House of Representatives meeting that was scheduled for 1 pm today will now be held at 1pm tomorrow, Wednesday.

A notice issued today by the Secretary-General of the Federal Parliament, Padma Prasad Pandeya, states that the meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday at 1pm according to sub-rule 3 of Rule 6 of the House of Representatives Rules, 2083. (RSS)
