Lawmakers Demand Government’s Answer on Building Trauma Center in Madhesh Province

The government has been urged to make clear about the plan for building a national level trauma centre in Dhalkebar of Madhes Province.

In today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal directed the government to answer it after lawmakers raised questions about trauma centre.

Speaker Aryal allocated time for Dr Chandra Mohan Yadav of the Nepali Congress to put forth his view lawmakers of the opposition party stood from their respective seats.

On the occasion, Yadav protested saying the government lag behind from its plan of constructing national-level trauma centre in Dhalkebar.

He argued that the plan of erstwhile government to construct the trauma centre there should not be changed, adding he would stand silently until government responds to it.

Lawmakers of ruling party objected after lawmakers of opposition parties standing from their respective seats drew government’s attention on the issue of national importance.

While Yadav was speaking, lawmakers of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) objected to opposition parties’ practice of speaking on any topics immediately when the meeting begins, urging them to put forth their views on appropriate time and subject matters.

Manish Khanal of RSP urged the Speaker to end the tendency of opposition parties of protesting by standing from their respective seats and speaker allowing them time to put forth vies.

After it, Speaker Aryal requested lawmaker Yadav to have a seat and maintain parliament discipline after he continuously stood silently even when lawmaker Chandra Mohan Yadav was speaking. Speaker Aryal again allocated time for Yadav to put forth his view.

Lawmaker Yadav demanded that the government should give a clear answer whether or not the government is constructing the trauma centre in Dhalkebar as it is the centre of Madhes province. (RSS)
