Indefinite Curfew in Rajbiraj, Prohibitory Order Relaxed in Dhanusa
The District Administration Office, Saptari, has imposed an indefinite curfew in some sensitive areas of the district headquarters of Rajbiraj Municipality.
According to the order issued by Chief District Officer Shyam Krishna Thapa, the curfew was enforced based on the decision of the District Security Committee meeting, effective from 5:00 am today until further notice.
The order states that the curfew has been issued under Section 6 of the Local Administration Act, 2028, and no one is allowed to move around, gather, hold processions, demonstrations, meetings or sit-ins in the designated areas.
According to the administration, the areas where the curfew is in effect include Khandokhola (river) in the east, the Judani-Dhalai road section of the postal highway in the west, Busbitti Chowk of the Rupani road in the north and the Koshi Paschim main canal (Bishnupur Rural Municipality) in the south.
The administration has asked the public to fully comply with the curfew order, stating that curfew order was issued keeping in mind the sensitive situation and to maintain security.
The curfew order issued by the District Administration Office in the Janakpurdham area has been relaxed from 6:00 to 8:00 this morning.
he administration stated people could move out of their home to buy essential goods during this period.
However, hospitals, pharmacy service, aviation service, supply of cooking gas and petroleum goods, ambulance, fire brigade and the vehicles of carrying essential goods will run uninterrupted also in the curfew hours, according to the District Administration Office. (RSS)
