Woman Rescued Safely after Eleven Days

A woman who had been trapped by the flood from Bhotekoshi to the Trishuli River has been safely rescued after 11 days.

A team from Armed Police Force, No. 19 Company, led by Armed Police Inspector Suman BK, rescued 64-year-old Chandrika Shrestha from the fourth floor of her house in Bidur Municipality–10, Betrawati.

According to Company commander, Deputy Superintendent of Armed Police Birendra Raut, the rescue team, which had gone to help by removing materials from houses affected by the flood, heard the woman’s voice from the house and immediately rescued her.

She was stuck in mud. Shrestha has been sent to Kathmandu for further treatment. (RSS)
