Rasuwa Floods: Government Provides Free Telecommunication Services in Affected Areas

The Government has announced free telecommunication services in the affected areas of the massive floods in Bhote Koshi River in Rasuwa.

Nepal Telecom is providing free services to the affected citizens as per the directive of Minister for Information and Communication.

According to the company, people in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, and Chitwan will receive 50 SMS per person per day and 2 GB of data per day for two days free of charge.

Similarly, Ncell has also announced that it will provide free voice, SMS, and data services for three days.

In addition, to refuel helicopters mobilized for rescue, relief, and search operations, the Nepal Oil Corporation has immediately dispatched a tanker carrying aviation fuel from Kathmandu to Trishuli in Nuwakot.
