Over 50,000 Gas Cylinders Dispatched to Kathmandu on Wednesday

A landslide at the Krishnabhir section along the Prithvi Highway has disrupted the transportation of gas tankers to Kathmandu. The road here collapsed due to erosion caused by the Trishuli River on August 30.

To prevent a shortage of cooking gas in the Kathmandu Valley, alternative supply arrangements have been put in place.

On Wednesday, over 50,000 LP gas cylinders were dispatched to the federal capital from various LPG bottling plants operated in several districts, including to Bimal Kalakheti, a central member of Nepal LP Gas Industry Association.

The Nepal Gas Industry, Narayani sent a total of 4,543 cylinders of various brands, while Nobel Gas Industry, Dhanusha dispatched 5,618 cylinders. Similarly, Gas One (NL) Industry, Bara transported 1,609; Jagadamna Gas Industry Bara 2,121; Leo Gas Industry in Bara 3,181 ; Ambar Gas Industry Bara, 1,092; Super Gas Industry Parsa 663; Manoj Gas Parsa 1,037; Sahara Gas Industry Makwanpur 7877; Nepal Gas Industry Gandaki, Chitwan7,348 full cylinders to Kathmandu.

According to him, 5,337 cylinders were sent by Saibaba Gas Industry in Chitwan, while 8,716 cylinders were dispatched by Baba Gas Industry, also in Chitwan. Similarly, Janaki Gas Industry in Nawalpur sent 2,642 cylinders and Chandeshwori Gas Industry in Nawalparasi dispatched 1,685 cylinders. (RSS)
