Nepal’s Home Minister Meets Local Leaders in Janakpur After Tensions
Nepal’s Home Minister Sudan Gurung has travelled to Dhanusha district to help defuse tensions between two communities and strengthen security following recent unrest.
As part of efforts to restore normalcy and promote religious and social harmony, Gurung held talks on Saturday at the District Administration Office in Janakpur with representatives of local religious organisations.
The discussions focused on maintaining law and order, preserving peace, and resolving misunderstandings between the two communities.
Participants included Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan City Mayor Manoj Kumar Sah, Member of Parliament Manish Jha and representatives of the Hindu Samrat Sena, among others.
