Nepal Government Launches Rescue Request Portal for Disaster Response

The Government of Nepal has made available a Rescue Request Portal to support coordination of rescue and assistance during disasters and emergencies.
The portal, www.rescue.opmcm.gov.np, enables the public to request rescue, seek assistance, offer support, report missing persons, and report people who have been found.
The platform is intended to facilitate the coordination of rescue and relief efforts by connecting people requiring assistance with individuals and organizations able to provide support.
In an emergency, the public can also contact Nepal Police at 100, Ambulance Services at 102, Fire Brigade at 101, the Emergency Rescue Hotline at 1234, and the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority at 1155.
Citizens are advised to use official channels and provide accurate, relevant information when submitting requests or reports through the portal. Information should be verified before being shared publicly, particularly in cases involving missing persons or unconfirmed disaster reports.
