Weather Alert: Heavy Rain Predicted in Some Parts of Nepal

Heavy rainfall has been predicted for Today in very few places of hilly region of Karnali Province and hilly and Tarai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said some places of Madhes Province, and one to two places in Tarai belt of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces will have moderate rainfall later today.

The weather bulletin issued by the Division stated that some places in mountainous region were predicted light to moderate rainfall coupled with thunder and lightning.

Most of the hilly region in Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces will have moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning.

Currently, the country is undergoing the impact of monsoon wind. The low pressure belt of monsoon is in the north of its average range in the western part and around the average range in the eastern part of Nepal.

The weather service further informed that all places of Koshi and Lumbini Provinces are cloudy at present, and it is generally cloudy in mountainous and hilly regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

The Tarai region of Bagmati, Gandaki and Sudurpaschim Provinces are partly cloudy.

Currently, light to moderate rainfall is being recorded in some places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces. (RSS)
