Microfinance Loanees Return Home after Agreement

The people suffering from microfinance loan and staging a sit-in at the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) in Lalitpur have returned home after an agreement was signed with the government.
A 14-point agreement was reached between the loanees and the government, thereby ending their protest. They had arrived in the federal capital to exert pressure on the government and rights bodies to get their problems addressed.
They were managed travel via Sajha Yatayat. As many as 323 persons had come to Kathmandu from Jhapa, Morang, Sarlahi, Mahottari, Sindhul, Bara, Parsa and Nawparasi districts.
They took the buses for their respective districts in the presence of government officials this morning. (RSS)
