Karki Appointed Chief Secretary of Nepal Government
The meeting of the Council of Ministers held today made eight important decisions related to administration, education, health, and good governance.
The meeting at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar decided to appoint Govinda Bahadur Karki, Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, as the Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal.
Likewise, Suraj Shakya has been appointed as the Development Commissioner of the Kathmandu Valley Development Authority, among other decisions.
The eight decisions made by the Council of Ministers:
- Appointment of Mr. Suraj Shakya of Kathmandu as the Development Commissioner of the Kathmandu Valley Development Authority.
- Approval to operate Geta Hospital, Kailali, as the Teaching Hospital of Shahid Dasharath Chand Health Science University.
- Approval of the Foreign Educational Program (Operation and Regulation) Rules, 2083.
- Approval of the Educational Consultancy, Language Teaching, and Preparatory Classes (Operation and Management) Rules, 2083.
- Approval of the Prison Rules, 2083.
- Approval of the Sixth National Human Rights Action Plan (2083/84–2087/88).
- Approval of the Second National Strategic Plan Against Corruption (2082/83–2087/88).
- Appointment of Mr. Govinda Bahadur Karki, Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, as the Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal.
