Highest Rainfall Recorded in Rautahat

An average 15.7 millimeters of rainfall has been measured to have fallen across the country in the last 24 hours.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, rainfall has been recorded at 211 of the 429 rainfall measurement centers in the country. The highest rainfall of 108.2 millimeters was measured to have taken place in Songoli in Rautahat in the last 24 hours.

Though the average rainfall for the month of August is usually 437.6 millimeters, only 58.2 millimeters of rainfall have been measured so far.

The Department has stated that there is a possibility of rainfall in various parts of the country in the next few days as the monsoon continues to remain active. (RSS)
