Sports Icons Gather Ahead of World Cup Final

Former football stars took part in the Legends Cup, a friendly exhibition match featuring retired players held ahead of the FIFA World Cup final to celebrate the tournament and engage fans.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino joined football icons including Kaka, Cafu, Vozinha and Maxi Rodríguez at the event in New York, alongside tennis great Novak Djokovic.

Looking ahead to Sunday’s final, former Brazil captain Cafu said the title would be decided by patience and composure, adding that the team making the fewest mistakes would have the best chance of becoming world champions. (AFP)
