Laligurans Concludes Tourism Strategy Plan After Four Years of Field Studies

The years-long green cultural tourism strategy study conducted by Laligurans Municipality of East Nepal’s hilly district Tehrathum has comes to the close. According to the Mayor Arjun Mabuhang the strategy was conducted with in-person field visits from 2022 to 2025.

The cultural tourism strategy aims to boost the sustainable tourism profile of the municipality and the province (Koshi) mainly focusing on cultural roots of the local indigenous Yakthung Limbu communities.

The major destinations of the tourism strategy plan are Cho Lung Park, Menchhyayem , Asanglung, Sumbelung (Jaljale), Sabha Pokhari (Sabhawa Kamfangwa), Saju Pokhari, Sodo Pokhari, Topkegola (Singsaden), Palung, Loden, Olangchung Gola, Tiptala, Senjela, Faktanglung (Kumbhakarna), Timbung, Kanchanjunga (Kelang Sitlang), among others.

Among these destinations, Cho Lung park has been globally featured by global media giants like The Guardian from the UK, Time Magazine from the US, The Canberra Times from the Australia, Sikkim Express from the India, among others.
