SC Orders to Complete Investigation against Oli-Lekhak by Thursday or Release

The Supreme Court has ordered that the investigation into former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and then Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak be completed by Thursday.

A joint bench of Justices Binod Sharma and Sunil Kumar Pokharel refused to release them from detention. However, the Court stated that if the investigation is not completed by April 9, they must be released.

They were arrested on 28 March on charges related to the deaths of 19 youths during the GenZ movement on 8 September last year.
