Kathmandu Valley has seen afternoon showers accompanied by hail, causing difficulties for citizens and vehicles in some areas.

Meanwhile, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has issued warnings of possible windstorms and heavy rainfall, particularly in the western regions today and the eastern regions tomorrow.

Strong winds of up to 119 kilometers per hour are expected near Biratnagar, Dhankuta, and Dharan, posing risks to weak structures, electricity and communication services.

Heavy rain and snowfall are also in the forecast for hilly and mountainous areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, while Terai regions like Dang, Nepalgunj, and Lumbini are likely to face strong gusts.

Authorities have urged residents to avoid unnecessary travel, stay in safe locations, and take precautions to protect property and vehicles.
