Dr. Mahabir Pun Wins From Magdi

Dr. Mahabir Pun, former Minister of Education, Science, and Technology, has been elected as the Member of Parliament from Myagdi.

According to the Chief Election Officer, Pun secured 22,850 votes, defeating his closest rival, CPN (UML) candidate Harikrishna Shrestha, who received 7,919 votes.

Pun contested the Myagdi election, with support from Rastriya Swatantra Party, which withdrew its candidate.

Scientist Pun is a recipient of the prestigious World-renowned Magsaysay Award.
