Nepal’s Voting Averages 58.01%: Highest Voters Turnout in Bagmati

According to the Election Commission Nepal, the nationwide voter turnout in the House of Representatives election 2082 stood at 58.01 percent, based on preliminary district-level reports.
Out of 18,903,689 registered voters, a total of 10,977,711 ballots were cast across the country.
Province-wise data shows Bagmati Province recorded the highest turnout at 60.93 percent, followed by Lumbini Province (59.91%), Koshi Province (58.62%) and Madhesh Province (58.39%).
Meanwhile, Sudurpashchim Province reported the lowest voter participation at 51.40 percent, while Gandaki (54.92%) and Karnali (55.66%) also remained below the national average.
The commission stated that the figures are preliminary and based on verbal and written reports received from districts and may be revised once detailed data is received from the offices of chief returning officers and returning officers.
