Nepal Loses Against Thailand

Nepal has started the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier in its home soil with a loss.
In the fist match of the tournament today at TU Cricket Stadium, Thailand won by 8 wickets.
Chasing the victory target of 123 runs, Thailand cruised home in 16.5 overs, losing only 2 wickets. For Thailand, Nattakan Chantam scored a half-century.
She remained unbeaten with 57 runs off 39 balls, hitting 9 fours and 1 six. Nannapat added 32 runs.

For Nepal, Sarita Rana took 2 wickets.
Earlier, Thailand won the toss and elected to field first. Nepal was bowled out in 20 overs, scoring 122 runs.
Bindu Rawal was Nepal’s top scorer with 44 runs while vice captain Pooja Mahato scored 12 runs. Rubina Chhetri in a brisk inning added 17 runs off 10 balls.
Nepal will play its next match against the Netherlands on Thursday.
