EC to Review Polling Stations Ahead of March 5 Elections

Nepal’s Election Commission has decided to review various polling stations across the country ahead of the March 5, 2026 Federal Parliament elections for the convenience of voters.
Through a notice, the Commission stated that it is undertaking this review to ensure voters can cast their ballots more easily, and has informed the general public accordingly.
During the review, if any voter’s name needs to be transferred to the relevant polling station or if someone has been left out, such corrections can be made through the ongoing voter list update program.
This program will continue until December 11. In addition to correcting errors, removing names, and handling claims and objections, the notice also mentions that voters have the option to request a transfer of their names from one polling station to another within the same ward, if more convenient.
If voters wish to transfer their names to another polling station within their ward, they are requested to either visit the concerned election office or submit an online application through the Commission’s website. (RSS)
