‘Suicide Blast’ Outside Islamabad Court in Pakistan Kills 12

A bomb blast in Pakistan’s capital city Islamabad’s G-11 area, outside the district and sessions court building, has killed 12 people and 27 left injured on Tuesday.

According to officials and various international media reports, it was a suicide blast. President Asif Ali Zardari condemned the attack, describing it as a ‘suicide blast’, near the Islamabad District Judicial Complex via a post in social media ‘x’.

The injured are receiving medical treatment in hospitals, and officials are in direct contact with them, according to reports.

Defense Minister of the country Khwaja Asif said that today’s attack should be seen as a wake-up call, stating the country is ‘in a state of war’.
