President Paudel Extends Bada Dashain Greetings

President Ramchandra Paudel has extended best wishes for happiness, peace, prosperity, good health, and continuous progress to all Nepali sisters and brothers at home and abroad.
In a message delivered today on the occasion of Bada Dashain, President Paudel said although every ethnic group in multi-ethnic, multi-religious, and multicultural country, Nepal, has its own traditions, this festival significantly contributes to strengthening family reunions, social harmony, forgiveness, goodwill, and fraternity.
The President also noted that Bada Dashain helps reinforce social unity amid geographical, cultural, and linguistic diversity, as well as to preserve cultural unity and identity.
Citing religious and historical reference of Goddess Durga’s victory over demonic forces and Lord Ram’s triumph over Rawan on the day of Vijaya Dashami, the Head of the State highlighted that Dashain is celebrated as a festival marking the victory of justice over injustice and truth over untruth.
Dashain is a time for family gatherings and reunions to share happiness and warmth, the President noted, highlighting its immense significance in terms of family, society, religion, culture, and national identity.
Additionally, expressing sorrow over the loss of lives and property due to devastating floods in different parts of the country, he offered condolences to those who lost their lives, deep sympathies to bereaved families, and wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured.
The President also urged all sides to unite and advance rehabilitation of flood-affected individuals.
