Budhigandaki Flood: Bridges Swept Away, Four Individuals Missing

A catastrophic flood originating from the Ungilung river, which traverses Chumanubri-6 in the Budhigandaki region, has destroyed the Machikhola bridge. The bridge serves as a vital connection to Dharche Rural Municipality.

According to Assistant Chief District Officer Netra Prasad Sharma, the Machhikhola Bazaar has sustained considerable damage as a result of the flooding. The infrastructure connecting Soti and Manbu in Arughat has been destroyed by the floodwaters.

Four livestock shelters situated along the banks of the Ungilung river, along with fifteen yaks and four individuals responsible for their care, have lost all communication and remain unaccounted for.
