Nepal’s Vijay and Ashish Advance to Canoeing Semifinals

Nagoya: Nepal’s Vijay Majhi and Ashish Rana Magar both advanced to the semifinals after successfully clearing the first round on Tuesday.

Vijay scored 202.6 points to finish 15th, while Ashish scored 211.86 points to finish 16th, securing their places in the semifinals.

A total of 18 athletes, including the two Nepali paddlers, advanced to the semifinals in the men’s kayak singles event, which began Tuesday at the Yahagigawa Canoe Slalom Course.

Japan’s Kazuya Adachi, representing the host nation, topped the standings with a score of 95.18 points and advanced to the semifinals.

The semifinal competition will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, at the same Yahagigawa Canoe Slalom Course.
