12 Persons Die in Baglung Landslides

The number of casualties in the rain-induced disasters has reached 12 in Baglung district. In the last three days, 12 persons died in the landslides that buried houses in various places of Baglung, while one is still missing.

The District Police Office shared information that two persons died after a landslide buried their houses at Sipa of Tarakhola Rural Municipality-5. Dil Bahadur Pun, 55, and his mother-in-law, Narmaya Roka, 79 died in the house collapse, according to Superintendent of Police, Phanindra Prasai.

Pun’s wife, two sons and daughter-in-law also received injuries in the landslide, Prasai said. A person died in the rain-induced disaster at Tarakhola on Saturday. Four others died and one went missing in Tamankhola Rural Municipality in the district. Five people lost lives in the disaster occurred in Nisikhola Rural Municipality. (RSS)
