Nepal and Senegal Establish Diplomatic Relations

Nepal and Senegal have formally established diplomatic relations, bringing the total number of countries with which Nepal maintains diplomatic ties to 188.

Nepal’s Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal and his Senegalese counterpart, Cheikh Niang, signed a joint communiqué in New York on Saturday, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, according to Khanal’s private secretariat.

Before the signing, the two foreign ministers held bilateral talks and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
