‘Elephants in the Fog’ to Represent Nepal in 2027 OSCAR

A Nepali film ‘Tiniharu-Elephants in the Fog’ has been selected to represent Nepal in the 99th Academy Awards (Oscars) 2027.

The International Feature Film Selection Committee, Nepal announced the film’s official selection in a press statement today.

The committee had received two Nepali films, including Gaunthali for the consideration for the Oscars. ‘Elephants in the Fog’ was picked as it was adjudged, meeting the Oscar criteria.

The panel said it minutely assessed the film’s technical aspects, script presentation, emotional depth and artistic features before making its decisions. The Oscars are regarded as one of the most prestigious awards in the world’s film industry. (RSS)
