PM Shah, his New Zealand Counterpart Hold Telephone Conversation

Prime Minister Balendra Shah and his New Zealand counterpart, Christopher Luxon, have held a telephone conversation today. On the occasion, Prime Minister Shah shared that search, rescue, relief and rehabilitation tasks have been intensified after Bhotekoshi flood, adding search for missing foreigners including citizens of New Zealand has been given high-priority.

PM Shah also extended gratitude towards his counterpart Luxon for humanitarian assistance of around 2 million NZD, according to PM Shah’s Secretariat.

Underlining that Nepal is one of the most climate-vulnerable countries in the world, he expressed the belief that the government of New Zealand would play constructive role for climate-induced loss and damage financial assistance in international forums.

Similarly, Prime Minister Luxon expressed sorrow over difficult circumstances faced by Nepal and extended condolences and solidarity on the behalf of government and the people of New Zealand, added PM Shah’s Secretariat. (RSS)
