Government Declares Four Deceased in Sunsari-Siraha Incidents as Martyrs

The government has decided to declare four people who died in Sunsari and Siraha incidents, Om Prakash Mehta, Jaya Prakash Mehta, Rabindra Kumar Mehta and Ganesh Kumar Yadav, as martyrs.  

The decision was made at a cabinet meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on Monday.

The cabinet also decided to waive the clean infrastructure charge and value added tax (VAT)  on electricity generated and transmitted within Nepal.  Similarly, the government also approved Portugal’s request to establish a consular office in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The government appointed Nirmal Kumar Upreti of Bara district as executive director at the Foreign Employment Board.

It is also decided to publish a Report on the probe into Ncell conducted under former former Auditor General Tankamani Sharma Dahal.
